If you think you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For back, neck and joint concerns that are not emergencies, you can walk in to RESET. If the doctor feels your care belongs somewhere else, he will tell you and point you to the right provider.
Your first visit.
What to expect. From the moment you arrive to the moment you head back to your day.

You will fill out a short intake form and talk with the doctor about what is going on, how long it has bothered you, and what you have already tried. The doctor will do an assessment and explain what he recommends before any treatment begins.

Most visits take under 30 minutes. Plan a little more time for your first visit.

Your insurance card if you plan to use insurance, and your claim information if you were hurt in a car accident or at work. Comfortable clothing is helpful but not required.

No. The doctor can assess you and begin care on your first visit without prior imaging. If he feels imaging is needed, he will tell you.

Back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, shoulder pain, hip and knee pain, neuropathy, sports injuries, auto injuries, and slip and fall injuries. If you are not sure, call us or walk in and ask.

Yes. There is no recovery period, and most patients go right back to work or their day.
Chiropractic or acupuncture?
Not sure which is right for you? You don't need to know before you come in. Tell the doctor what's going on and he will explain what he recommends and why.

Chiropractic care uses adjustments to the spine and joints. Acupuncture uses very thin needles placed at specific points on the body. Both doctors at RESET provide both, and some patients receive both in the same visit.

Our doctors use the Activator Method, a gentle, instrument-assisted adjustment. There is no twisting and no cracking.

Acupuncture needles are much thinner than the needles used for shots or blood draws. Most people feel light pressure or a brief dull sensation when a needle is placed. The needles stay in for several minutes. If you are nervous about needles, let us know and we will walk you through each step first.

Chiropractic care is a well-established form of care for back, neck and joint concerns. Our doctors assess every patient before treatment, and if chiropractic care is not a good fit for you, they will tell you.
Cost and insurance.
Clear prices, posted up front. What you see is what you pay. No facility fees, no new patient charges and no packages.

A chiropractic adjustment is $75. Acupuncture is $75. Both in the same visit is $129. Prices are the same for new and returning patients, with no facility fees and no new patient charge.

Yes. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance carriers. Coverage depends on your plan and deductible, so we suggest checking your chiropractic benefits with your insurance company. Our front desk is happy to help you know what to ask.

Yes, we are Medicare credentialed. Medicare covers chiropractic adjustments for certain conditions. Our team can help you understand what your plan covers and what you may owe.

Yes. We work with auto insurance and workers' compensation claims. Bring your claim information to your first visit, and the doctor will document your visit for your claim.

Yes. Some patients choose our self-pay rate, especially before they have met their deductible. We accept cash, card, HSA and FSA.

Who we are.
Since 1979, two generations of Gaskell doctors have cared for Sioux City families. Meet the practice and the doctors behind it.

Dr. Rod Gaskell founded the practice in 1979. His son, Dr. Chad Gaskell, has practiced alongside him since 1999. Together they bring nearly 75 years of combined experience, and both provide chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture.

Yes. Gaskell Chiropractic is now RESET Walk-In Chiropractic & Acupuncture. Dr. Rod and Dr. Chad are still here and your records moved with us. Only the name and the address changed.
